Except for a 12-0 run near the end of the first half, the Nets struggled to find their offensive rhythm through three quarters. They led by one point after a 60-foot buzzer-beater by Jason Kidd, and then blew out the Magic in the fourth, hitting 7 of their first 10 shots on their way to a 25-10 run. Richard Jefferson led the way with 21 points on 8-16 shooting and Brian Scalabrine provided a lift off the bench with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin each started their first game in three weeks and increased their minutes from Tuesday. The loss was Orlando's 12th in a row, and with it, they clinched a tie for the worst record in the NBA.
