The Nets played sloppy basketball Thursday in Game 3, committing 20 turnovers, but they held on down the stretch for a 3 point victory and a 3-0 series lead. It was a game of runs, and after a 25-10 run, the Nets held a 14 point lead with 11 minutes left in the game. However, New Jersey failed to make a field goal until the lead was down to 2 with less than a minute left. A big basket by Richard Jefferson and an even bigger 3-point play by Kenyon Martin gave the Nets the victory. Martin finished with 19 points and 15 rebounds, while Jefferson came just two rebounds short of a triple-double. The Nets will try to finish the sweep Sunday night.
