The Nets got off to a real slow start, shooting 3 for 14 to fall behind by 11 to start the game, but got back within 3 at the half, and then used a 28-13 3rd quarter to put the Sixers away and eliminate them from playoff contention. The scoring was well balanced for New Jersey, and they were able to limit all of the starters to 30 minutes or less. Zoran Planinic gave them a big lift off the bench with 10 points and 5 assists. With two road games remaining on the schedule, they finish the season at 28-13 at home, after starting out just 2-6 at Continental Airlines Arena.
