Poor Execution Down the Stretch Foils Nets Again

Down two points with 4:39 left, the Nets committed four turnovers and shot 3-12 the rest of the way as they sorely missed the leadership of Jason Kidd and fell to the Celtics by four. Down three, Rodney Rogers committed a bad foul on Walter McCarty with 32 seconds left, allowing the Celtics to build a two-possession lead. Given a second life, the Nets committed a killer turnover, as Lucious Harris had the ball taken away with five seconds remaining. Richard Jefferson led all scorers with 24 points. The Nets have now lost their last four games in their own division, after starting 14-2 against the Atlantic.
