LeBron James scored 41 points, including a personal 8-0 run to end the game, lifting the Cavaliers over the Nets. Richard Jefferson scored 35 for the Nets, but couldn't come up with a basket down the stretch to secure the win for New Jersey. The Nets shot 10-18 from downtown, but got very little production from their bench. With the win, the Cavs moved into a tie with Boston for the 8th playoff spot in the East. The Nets fell back below .500 on the road and to 1-4 without Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin.
