Short-handed Nets Fall to Knicks

Playing without Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin, the Nets couldn't get anything going offensively, and fell to the Knicks 79-65 in New York. New Jersey shot just 33% and were outrebounded 54-37, including 20 offensive boards by New York. Richard Jefferson led all scorers with 25 points, but didn't get much help. Starting guards, Lucious Harris and Kerry Kittles combined for just 15 points on 5-21 shooting. The Knicks got 21 points and 9 assists from Stephon Marbury and a double-double from Nazr Mohammed.
