Jason Kidd is expected to return as the Nets host the Toronto Raptors Monday night at the Meadowlands. Kidd has missed the first 16 games of the season recovering from microfracture surgery on his left knee. The Raptors are playing their fifth game of a six-game road trip, having lost their last 3. They are reportedly close to a deal that would send Vince Carter and Jalen Rose to Portland in exchange for Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Derek Anderson. These two teams split their season series last year, and are battling for position in the ugly Atlantic Division.
