It was a week of transition, as the Nets introduced Vince Carter, but kept him on the shelf to make sure he was completely healthy before suiting up. With Travis Best not yet 100%, and Zoran Planinic and Ron Mercer still a month away from returning, they had to play two games with a very short bench. That didn't matter, though, as the Nets, led by two spectacular performances from Richard Jefferson, put together their first undefeated week of the season. Nenad Krstic and Rodney Buford each had their best weeks of the season, and Jason Kidd continued to make progress in his journey back from knee surgery.
