Jefferson Soars in Thriller Over Cavs

Richard Jefferson scored a career-high 42 points Wednesday night, including a game-winning lay-up off an inbounds lob pass with 0.8 seconds left to play. Jefferson shot 12 of 20 from the field and 16 of 17 from the line, and added 6 rebounds and 7 assists as the Nets head into their holiday break with their second straight win. Rodney Buford also had a career-high with 22 points on 10 of 18 shooting. Travis Best came back from his groin injury to play 7 minutes, but Brian Scalabrine went out in the 2nd quarter with a strained hamstring and did not return.
