The Nets and Knicks renew their rivalry Tuesday night at the Meadowlands. New York leads the ugly Atlantic Division with a .500 record, and having won 5 of their last 7 games, the Nets have climbed to within 3 games. The Knicks have been wildly inconsistent this season, but they have a potentially dangerous backcourt of Stephon Marbury and Jamal Crawford, as well as Allan Houston, who will be playing in just his 3rd game since returning from a knee injury. The Nets will be without Alonzo Mourning for the 3rd straight game, but may get a few more minutes out of Jason Kidd, who was held to just 21.5 minutes per game in his first week back. The Nets have won 16 of the last 18 meetings between these two teams, including a first round sweep in last season's playoffs.
