The Nets dropped their fifth straight game Saturday night, an eleven point loss to the Washington Wizards at the Meadowlands. After trailing most of the game, the Nets came back from a 9-point halftime deficit and took a lead late in the 3rd quarter, but the combination of Antawn Jamison and Larry Hughes was too much, and the Wizards regained the lead early in the fourth and pulled away in the final minutes. The Nets offense showed some improvement, with 5 players scoring in double-figures, including Richard Jefferson, who led the team with 22. The Nets now head west for a four game road trip that starts in Denver Tuesday night.
