Williams Dishes Out 10 Assists In USA Blowout
The U.S. Olympic Team played its first exhibition game on Thursday in Las Vegas, blowing out the Dominican Republic, 113-59. Deron Williams came off the bench and dished out a game-high 10 assists in just over 22 minutes of action.
Williams Officially on Olympic Roster
USA Basketball officially announced its 2012 Men's Olympic Team on Saturday. And as expected, the Nets' Deron Williams is among the 12 names and one of five players on the roster who won gold in 2008 in Beijing.
Sheridan: Williams and Howard On List For 2012 Olympics
It's been reported that USA Basketball will name 18 players later this month to a preliminary roster for the 2012 Olympics in London. But Chris Sheridan reports that the number will actually be 19 (with LaMarcus Aldridge as a late addition). Sheridan has the full list, which expectedly includes eight of the 12 players from the 2008 Olympic team. Among them are Deron Williams and Dwight Howard.
