Nets D-League Ambitions Start May 1

Back in November, when the Nets announced their pioneering agreement to take over the basketball operations of the D-League's Springfield Armor, there weren't a lot of details. Everyone in the NBA, the Nets and Armor organizations had good things to say about it. Now, with the Nets about to take control of the Armor, we spoke with Bobby Marks, the Nets' exec who pushed the idea.

Preseason Game #3 - Nets vs. Celtics - Thursday, October 7, 7:00

There'll be two interesting homecomings Thursday night in Newark. Shaquille O'Neal will return to his hometown when the Celtics comes to Newark to play the Nets. Of course, Shaq's homecoming will be one of several. It will be Lawrence Frank's first game back in New Jersey since taking the assistant coaching job with the Celtics. Also on the Celtic staff: Roy Rogers.

Dooling: "I Was in So Much Pain"

In an interview with the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Keyon Dooling admits last season was a lost season because of a difficult recovery from off-season hip surgery. "I would be in so much pain," he explained to a Milwaukee reporter.
