Colangelo: Williams Plans To Sign July 11 "When The Clock Ticks 12"

Deron Williams has said he wants to have his contract settled by the London Olympics, which most take to mean the opening of Team USA training camp on July 6. Now, Jerry Colangelo, who runs USA Basketball, says it's his understanding that Williams will indeed make up his mind quickly, then sign as soon as he can on July 11.

D-Will Named MetroPCS Spokesman

First the good news: MetroPCS, one of the founding sponsors of Barclays Center, has hired Deron Williams to be his chief spokesman, the latest endorsement deal for the Nets captain, following Red Bull and Bonobos. Now the bad news: MetroPCS is a Dallas company and the press release doesn't mention the Nets or Barclays Center.

Lopez Drops Out of Team USA

Brook Lopez, still feeling the effects of mononucleosis, has decided to drop out of Team USA and instead get rested and ready for the Nets' training camp which starts Sept. 24.
