According to ESPN's Marc Stein, the Bucks and Hawks are talking about a trade that would revolve around Josh Smith and Monta Ellis. Quite the different tune from a few hours ago, when he reported the Nets would "ultimately" land Smith.
Mitch Lawrence of Newsday notes that a league source told him the Nets are now shifting their focus on Utah Jazz big man Paul Millsap, who is a unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
Kevin Pelton of ESPN.com mentioned Nets center, and first-time All-Star, Brook Lopez as a possible sell-high trade candidate in this upcoming deadline. He goes on to mention, though, that even a deal for Dwight Howard might not get you Lopez.
With all the trade rumors swirling and the suggestion that the Nets are constantly in discussion about trading Brook Lopez to the Lakers for Dwight Howard, it's becoming clear that this Brooklyn team now belongs to Brook. He is the team's leader.
