Marv and Ian's sidekick was in Moscow, on his way to Kiev to coach the Ukraine National Team, when he dropped by to celebrate Sergei Kushchenko's 50th birthday party and meet Mikhail Prokhorov.

A European basketball site reports that the Ukraine Basketball Federation is negotiating with Nets' broadcaster Mike Fratello to become a coach for Team Ukraine. Fratello is talking with Alexander Volkov, the head of the federation and a former Atlanta Hawks player who Fratello coached in 1989-90.
