It could have been worse. The Nets feared that Anthony Morrow had torn his hamstring which might have required surgery and long layoff. Instead an MRI showed the Nets starting shooting guard only strained it. Still that will keep him out 2-3 weeks.
Tuesday's practice is over and so Troy Murphy has worked out enough to meet Avery Johnson's requirements. Will he play vs. the Bobcats on Wednesday night? Johnson says it's "50-50". Might there be a change in the starting lineup at power forward? Johnson reports it could be Murphy, but it also could be Kris Humphries.
Troy Murphy did some light practicing today, his first since shut down before the Nets went on the world tour two weeks ago. So far so good, but Avery Johnson says don't expect much any time soon...like the first two games. He thinks the 6'11" PF will need at least three practices and today counted as a half.
