Now that the Nets Shop at Coney Island has been open for two weeks, the team is pushing the idea beyond the casual beachgoers. It's encouraging fans to get on the subway and travel there to pick up Nets gear not available elsewhere.
Earlier this week, the Nets donned bowling outfits, traded sneakers for bowling shoes and basketballs for bowling balls. It was part of a fund-raising efforts for the Nets Foundation and its community assist program.
