Nets Set Up Eurobasket Page

The Nets have set up a page on their website to update the Eurobasket schedules of the the four "international Nets" -- the two rookies and two draft picks competing in the FIBA event. All four will be in action Friday. Bojan Bogdanovic (Croatia) plays Hungary; Tornike "Toko" Shengelia (Georgia) goes against Latvia; Ilkan Karaman (Turkey) against Portugal and Mirza Teletovic (Bosnia) against Romania. Teletovic is the Qualifying Tournament's leading scorer.

Bogdanovic Needs to be Butterfly?!

The two American bloggers who run Euroleague Adventures, the site that follows the continent's best hoopsters, got dressed up as caterpillars on Halloween to emphasize that Bojan Bogdanovic needs to shed his cocoon and become a butterfly. Bogdanovic, of course, has scored two points in two Euroleague games for Fenerbahce.

Croatia Rests Bodganovic...and Wins

Croatia's national team coach rested Bojan Bogdanovic on Wednesday but his team still beat Great Britain 75-70 in the London Invitational. The game was supposed to be a test for Bogdanovic but not only didn't he play. Luol Deng didn't either. In a battle between former Nets big men, Nenad Krstic's Serbia beat Yi Jianlian's China by 34. Krstic went for 13 and 4 in 20 minutes. Yi had 20 and 7 (but 5 turnovers) in 27 minutes.

Bogdanovic Scores 16 for Team Croatia

Bojan Bogdanovic, playing his second game in two days, scored 16 points to again lead Croatia over Bulgaria in an exhibition game in the Croatia city of Osijek. Igor Petrinovic, editor of CroBasket, the leading Croatian hoops site, said this of Bogdanovic in an email to NetsDaily: "He was our best backcourt player and Croatia's best player overall. He might hold on to that title for the entire summer ...He is good."

Nets Paid "Well Below $2 Million" for Bogdanovic Pick

CroHoops, a Croatian basketball site, says the price tag for the 31st pick in the Draft was "well below 2 million US$", quoting an "independent source special to CroHoops". The Nets sent unspecified "cash considerations" and their 2013 second round pick to the Timberwolves so they could take Bojan Bogdanovic. CroHoops quoted the same source as saying, "the Nets are very pleased with the move which they have made," echoing a comment made last week by Nets' international scout Danko Cvjeticanin.
