Tyshawn Taylor and Toko Shengelia will play Friday night in Springfield vs the Erie Bayhawks. The two second rounders were assigned to the D-League Friday morning by the Nets.

Armor Sign A10 Player of the Year Ramone Moore

The Armor announced Ramone Moore's signing from the D-League player pool Wednesday. Undrafted, Moore played in Italy and Israel this season before returning to the United States. At Temple, Moore was A10 Player of the Year last season.

Reed, Youngest Armor, Playing Well Off Bench

At 22, Willie Reed is the youngest member of the Springfield Armor by two years. The 6'9" (he says 6'11") Reed had his best game for the Armor Friday, scoring 23 points in 27 minutes as the Armor lost to the Canton Charge. Reed was in Kings camp.

Uzoh Career High Wasted in Armor Loss

Ben Uzoh is the most likely call-up on the Armor roster. He got a tryout with the point guard-hungry Wizards this weekend. He showed Saturday that he can dominate the D-League with 30 points, 5 assists and 5 steals, but the Armor lost.

Scott Double-Double Powers Armor to Win

Carleton Scott, the Nets camp invite out of Notre Dame, had a double double and scored a key bucket to power the Springfield Armor, now 3-1, to a win Friday over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Three other Armor bigs also scored in double digits.

Armor Win Behind Bigs Mays and Taggart

James Mays had 18 points and 10 boards, his third straight double, Shawn Taggart had 21 points, making 13 of his 16 foul shots and Willie Reed had seven rebounds and five blocks as the Armor beat the LA D-Fenders to go 2-1 in the D-League.

No date has been set for their trip to Springfield, but the Nets will send Tyshawn Taylor and Toko Shengelia to the Armor soon. Shengelia is likely to go first because there are more forwards on the team than point guards.

Springfield Armor Win Opener in Ohio

James Mays, the 26-year-old Nets training camp invite, scored 23 points and grabbed 17 boards as the Springfield Armor beat the Canton Charge in the opening weekend of D-League action. Ben Uzoh, the former Net, also had a double-double for the Armor.
