The Armor faced two of the D-League's top five teams late this week in a killer combo. They won both. Toko Shengelia and Tyshawn Taylor combined for 50 points and 19 rebounds Saturday in a win over the Santa Cruz. Toko is averaging 28.3 and 13.7.

After opening his D-League career last month with a triple-double, Toko Shengelia returned to Springfield Thursday to tie a franchise single-game scoring mark with 39 points on 17-of-21 shooting. He added 18 rebounds, six assists and three steals.

WIth the roster healthy and their rookies in need of minutes, the Nets have the luxury of shuttling Tyshawn Taylor and Toko Shengela between Brooklyn and Springfield. Tuesday, the two were assigned to the Armor, where they expect to play Thursday.
Willie Reed had 22 points and 8 boards, his second straight 20+ game and third in six games, but the Armor lost again in D-League action, falling to the Maine Red Claws. The athletic 6'10" Reed is one of the team's few bright spots in a dismal year.
