Spears: Nets D-League affiliate acquires Ebanks

Marc J. Spears reports that the Springfield Armor are part of a three-team deal that will bring the D-League's top forward to the Nets affiliate. Devin Ebanks, a three-year Laker vet, is one of six players involved in the deal.

Wyatt in D-League debut scores 19, but Armor loses

Earlier Monday, the Nets' D-League affiliate in Springfield acquired Khalif Wyatt, the Atlantic 10 player of the year last season. By Monday night, Wyatt had acquitted himself well in his D-League debut but the Armor lost late to the Mad Ants.

Armor acquire rights to Khalif Wyatt

Khalif Wyatt, who was the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year at Temple last season, has been acquired by the Nets' D-League affiliate. Wyatt, a 6'4" shooting guard, went undrafted last June and was cut by the 76ers. He's played in China since.

DJO scores 30 but Armor lose

Darius Johnson-Odom scored 30 points for the fourth time in seven games, but the Armor lost a close one, 113-111, to the Maine Red Claws in Springfield. Adonis Thomas had 17. The Armor are now 5-2 over the last seven games.

Thomas with monster game as Armor wins

Adonis Thomas, signed by the Nets so he could be cut and sent to Springfield, filled the scoresheet Monday as the Armor beat the Bakersfield Jam. Thomas, a 6'7" forward, finished with 33 points, 25 rebounds, four assists and four steals.

DJO, Adonis combine for 60 in Armor loss

The primary goal of the D-League is to develop players and the Armor's top two players, Darius Johnson-Odom and Adonis Thomas, combined for 60 points in a 110-103 loss to the Canton Charge Saturday, ending a four-game winning streak.

Fast-developing Thomas scores 29 for Armor

Friday night, nets project Adonis Thomas scored a career-high 29, to go along with Darius Johnson-Odom's 33, and the Armor won its fourth straight, beating the Maine Red Claws. Thomas, 20, is fast developing in Springfield.

As Armor wins, Overton praises DJO, Thomas

In an interview with a Springfield paper, Armor coach Doug Overton credits his team's improvement mostly to Darius Johnson-Odom, the ex-Laker signed last month, and Adonis Thomas, the Nets 20-year-old development project.

Armor trade Gaines for rights to Samuels

Sundiata Gaines won't be returning to the Nets fold. The 6'1" Gaines was picked up by the Armor last week, then traded on Tuesday to the Reno Bighorns for a third round pick and the rights to Samardo Samuels, the former New Jersey high school star.

Armor win third straight as DJO, Thomas Star

Darius Johnson-Odom put up a double-double of 18 points and 11 boards and the Armor extended their first winning streak of the season to three Monday. DJO was helped by Adonis Thomas, the 20-year-old forward who led the Armor with 23 .points.
