Waiting On Training Facility, Nets Switch Sides

At some point, the Nets will have a bright, shiny new training facility that no doubt will be the envy of the NBA. Until then, they will divide time between sites on either side of the Hudson, in E. Rutherford and Brooklyn. It's not easy.

Good News for Nets? Prokhorov's Biathlon Team Wins

In 2008, Mikhail Prokhorovo took over Russian Biathlon. Things were bad. The director was convicted of plotting to murder a politician and there were doping charges. As he has with the Nets, Prokhorov spent money and now Russia's biathletes are back!

Nets Practice in Brooklyn after PNY Center Floods

One league official called the Nets training facility in East Rutherford a "war zone." There's flooding inside the 65,000 square feet facility. On Sports Center, Deron Williams said it's damaged and they will work out at Barclays practice court.

Brooklyn Nets Eye Manhattan Sites?

How big of a deal would it be for the Nets to site their training facility in Manhattan? Very! Apparently, it's a possibility. The Commercial Observer reports the Nets abandoned the idea of Red Hook an are looking at sites in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

We visited the site at 280 Richards Street, Brooklyn, Saturday, the one that the Nets executives walked through Wednesday as they look at venues for the Nets new training center. There are advantages as well as disadvantages.

Nets Looking At Brooklyn Site For Multi-Million Dollar Training Facility

Crain's New York Business reports that the Nets visited a site in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn Thursday, one with spectacular views of Lower Manhattan, as they push their plan to build a new training facility to replace the PNY Center.
