It was a great offensive showing by the Nets, who saw Marshon Brooks go off and score a career-high 27 points, with Joe Johnson and Gerald Wallace both sidelined. Nets won easily, 113-95. Next up, the Chicago Bulls at home.
Joe Johnson was on the court, shooting jumpers and testing his sore left heel before the Jazz game. It was the first time he did that since sitting down a week ago. After the game, he told writers he hopes for a Wednesday return ... and some wins.
On back-to-back nights the Nets just didn't have it. Sure, they ran into a hot Randy Foye, but the Nets turned the ball over far too many times and were unable to stop the Jazz on the defensive side of the ball, falling 116-107.
