Game Previews

Brooklyn tries to bounce back against Sacramento

The Nets return to Barclays Center where they hope the rims are more forgiving that those they kept clanging in Boston with three point attempts. Kevin Garnett's availability is not yet known but Marcus Thornton can expected to be up for this one.

Collins basketball player ... and advocate

The last time Jason Collins made a public appearance in Boston, he was marching with his Stanford classmate Rep. Joseph Kennedy III in Boston's Gay Pride parade. He'll play the Celtics tonight but don't think his advocacy is in the past.

Brooklyn looks to extend their winning streak

It's not quite a homecoming. That took place a month ago. Nor is important for the playoffs. And it's not so much who won the trade either. Of the nine players dealt in July, only two will be playing Friday. It's about winning for the sake of winning

Gasol and the Grizzlies come to Brooklyn

The Nets have their first chance to get above .500 for the first time since November. In their 58 games, they've never had a winning record! The Grizzlies, like the Nets hit by injury after injury, are finally getting healthy.

Welcome Home, Brooklyn Nets

Big game! Nets try to close the gap with the Bulls; Nets try for .500 record; Jason Collins (and Marcus Thornton) make their Brooklyn debuts. Expect a wild night at Barclays Center, 19 days after they left for their longest road trip of the season.

"Circus Road Trip" ends in Milwaukee

Six games and 11 days after leaving Brooklyn, the Nets arrived in Milwaukee Friday to finish off their "circus road trip," so named because of who's occupying Barclays Center.. The Bucks are the NBA's worst team, but have been playing better of late.

Denver and the art of forgetting

After their worst loss of the season --and that's saying something-- the Nets are in Denver Thursday to face the Nuggets who despite a 2-8 record over the last 10 and a three-game losing streak are the type of team that gives the Nets fits.

Blazers welcome Nets: Youth vs. Experience

Portland indeed seems daunting, but their record since New Year's is not as good as Brooklyn's. They're 13-11, Nets 16-7. Moreover, in their last 10, they're only 5-5 and haven't beat a team with a winning record since the Raptors. Bit of an upset?

IT'S OFFICIAL: JASON COLLINS RETURNS TO NETS

Jason Collins has become the first openly gay man to sign a contract with a U.S. professional sports team, agreeing to a 10-day deal with the Nets that will pay him a little more than $50,000 but mark him as a historic figure in American sports.

Brooklyn goes Hollywood

Awaiting the Nets this Sunday night will be the Lakers. Originally, this game was scheduled to air on ESPN. However, they made the wise choice to pull this game and will be airing Houston and Phoenix instead. That should tell you something.
