The entrance plaza that stretches from Barclays Center's main doors out past the Transit Connection to the tip of the intersection of Atlantic and Flatbush will be known as "Daily News Plaza." The News announced in an editorial welcoming Barclays Center that would sponsor the plaza. "Our pleasure, indeed."

Armon Johnson, who played in New Jersey at the end of last season, will soon sign a non-guaranteed deal with the Magic, the last of the Nets 2012 free agents to sign. Johnson was reportedly headed to Orlando in the failed Dwight Howard trade. Two other Nets have signed "make good" contracts: Sundiata Gaines with the Pacers and Damion James with the Hawks. Shelden Williams signed with Chalon Elan of France and Gerald Green received a three-year, $10 million deal with the Pacers.
