Tower Construction Tightens Sidewalk Access

Overnight Thursday, construction crews put up a fence along the back (Dean Street) of Barclays Center, signaling the start of construction on the first of three towers at the eastern end of the arena. Expect narrow sidewalks on Dean.

Nets Introducing Paramus-Brooklyn Shuttle

Starting Friday night, Nets fans living in New Jersey will be able to board buses in Paramus for Barclays Center. Best Trails, who provides the Nets with charter services is running the round trip service. Cost is $20 round trip. Buses leave at 5:15

Ever wonder just how big are those giant HDTV screens at Barclays Center? A feature in Sports Business Journal is chockful of that kind of data. For the record, each of the four screens are 16 feet by 27 feet or 432 square feet. And that's not all.

"Deez Nets" Too Raunchy for Nets Shop

"Deez Nets" gear was on sale at Barclays Center for a day. BrooklynFans, the video-based website says they were, then removed. Indeed they were removed, apparently because the gear is based on "Deez Nuts" a raunchy Dr. Dre rap from 1992.
