2012 Training Camp

Nets, a work in progress, head to Brooklyn

Practice will shift from the PNY Center in East Rutherford to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for one day Sunday as the Nets practice on the main court at their new home for the first time. It's just another milestone for a team with many to come.

Brooks getting better as he faces JJ, Crash daily

Last year, MarShon Brooks basically had his way on the practice court. Until Gerald Wallace arrived, there wasn't much competition, notes his coach. Now, he's had to adjust with the return of Wallace and the arrival of Joe Johnson and Josh Childress.

Deron Dominates in Friday Scrimmage

Deron Williams, Andray Blatche and Keith Bogans, playing both ends of the court, pushed the White team to a win over the Black at Friday night's scrimmage at the PNY Center. Expect a boxscore and analysis from Avery Johnson Saturday.

Teletovic learning Nets system ... and Vice Versa

It's going to take a while for Mirza Teletovic to get adjusted to playing in the NBA, living in New York (with a wife and two children). So far, he says, it's working. Avery Johnson is encouraging him and encouraging him to do what he does best.

Rosters Set for Friday Night Scrimmage

The Nets shot around this morning getting ready for tonight's first scrimmage. The rosters were set by a draft ... after Avery Johnson make sure Brooklyn's Backcourt was going to get max time together. Everyone but Tyshawn Taylor is healthy.

Mirza Teletovic and Toko Shengelia are two of the three Nets rookies but the only two playing. Tyshawn Taylor is out with a quad strain. Ben Couch of the Nets staff interviews both to see how they're doing on and off the basketball court.

Joe Still Talking Nets Championship

Joe Johnson says the Nets are the best team he's played for, heady stuff considering he played with Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire and Shawn Marion in their primes while with the Suns. He also said he truly believes the Nets have title potential.

Blatche back practicing, but Childress out

Once again, the Nets have a daily injury report. Fortunately, everything on it has been minor so far. Josh Childress is the latest with an ailment, sitting out the end of practice Thursday with a sore Achilles.

Brooklyn's Backcourt - Where It Begins

It's the big question of the Nets training camp so far: how far can Brooklyn's Backcourt, arguably the best in the NBA, take the team? The Nets may have top ten talent at all five starting positions, but top five at both positions in the backcourt.
