The possibilities for cross-promotion have always been there: big acts to match with the Nets big dreams. Saturday, with nine fights at Barclays Center, Brett Yormark distributed Nets gear to all the fighters and a lot of them wore it.

Practice Now The Order of the Day

The Nets have 11 days, starting with open practice in Brooklyn at noon Sunday, to get ready for Opening Night, with only one preseason game to break things up. Last week, they had five games in seven days, not much time to learn from their mistakes.

Brooks Waiting His Turn After Injury

MarShon Brooks didn't play till the third quarter Friday night, but when he did he played efficiently, at least on offense. It's his defense that will deprive him of minutes unless he shows he can improve. He knows it's on him to do what he can.
