The Nets preseason came to a close with their third straight loss, a 97-95 overtime defeat at the hands of the Knicks at Nassau Coliseum on Wednesday. And it was only the play of the Nets' third string that made it that close.

The Nets complete preseason action against the team they'll open the regular season against. Before the real deal, it would be nice to see some defensive improvement.
