ESPN’s SportsNation is polling viewers on “which sophomore guard has impressed you the most this season?” Chris Douglas-Roberts is one of five possibilities and he’s holding his own. It’s tight three way race among CDR, Russell Westbrook and Michael Beasley (a guard?). No surprise, but the Nets guard is getting his best support from New Jersey, his home state of Michigan and Tennessee, where he played in college.

CDR’s been very impressive. I hope our front office does not do something stupid like include him in a package for someone who is more famous. He is clearly a 20ppg player in the NBA and he cares more than the average Net.

LoL at including Beasley but forgetting Mayo & Gordon.

Good to see CDR is acknowledged as one of the top sophomore guards in the NBA. We fans know how hard he has worked and that he is deserving of the recognition. GO CDR!! Your time will come.

Trade Harris and yi. We are goingto get john wall. Which will make Harris expendable. Send that package to someone to get a real PF and a rotation player.

^ Be careful what you wish for. Even if we finish the worst record in the league, odds are we don’t get the first pick as we only have a 25% chance. John Wall is going to be the 1st pick, and this is not a guard heavy draft. If we are going to do anything with Harris and/or Yi, we wait until after the draft.

Shouldn’t even be a contest. CDR was a second round pick while the other 2 were top 10.

CDR “FRESH” one the of few bright spots on a dismal collection of odd puzzle pieces. LF “Coach” would have trouble coacing a “D” team (players would laugh at him as the Nets did a couple of years ago when JKidd was on team)
GO CDR, hopefully you are traded to a contender

@Jason:
Your are right. Worst team has 35% chance of getting 4th pick, although cant’t do any worse than 4th. 2nd worst team is not really any worse odds, except could get the 5th pick, I believe.
Since Nets will have to finish strong to get FA interest, there is little advantage to be worst team – Let Wolves have that honor.
If Prokhorov wants to compete for Championship during first couple of years, then a point guard would be bad choice, since it always takes a couple of years just to learn NBA position. Harris would do fine with right teammates to pass to.
If John Wall is considered best player and is available to Nets, then maybe they should have a trade worked out, like for a young big like Blake Griffin.
Lets keep Harris and keep Yi, knowing that Jianliang wouldn’t be more than a solid backup PF. However, shouldn’t hesitate to trade Yi if right offer comes along, since Proky probably wouldn’t care about offending Chinese.

CDR is a stud.
