The Nets fell to 0-8 Wednesday night with another last-minute loss to the Sixers, this one at the IZOD Center. It was a low-scoring affair and close throughout. Marreese Speights gave the Sixers a one-point lead with 1:10 to go and after the teams traded empty trips, Brook Lopez missed on a spin move with 15 seconds left. The Nets got two more chances when Samuel Dalembert and Thaddeus Young each made just one of two at the line, but Terrence Williams missed a baseline jumper with the Nets down two and Rafer Alston threw the inbounds pass away on the final possession. The teams combined to shoot just 40 percent from the field and neither had more than 22 points in a period. Lopez recorded his third double-double of the season with 23 points and 14 rebounds and Williams picked up his second double-double in his first career start, finishing with 10 points and 12 boards.

ALL I CAN SAY IS RAFER ALSTON SUCKS! u no what this loss means were going 0-10. there is no way we beat magic on friday and no way against heat their just too good and r d sucks. by the time devin, yi, hayes, dooling come back we will be way out of playoff race.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:06 pm
I’M CRYING
November 11th, 2009 at 10:07 pm
Simmons actually ducked from the ball on the last play
November 11th, 2009 at 10:08 pm
was fun game to watch
November 11th, 2009 at 10:08 pm
We need Harris, CDR, and Lee back. Seriously. The Nets will get their first win on the first match we have these three on court.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:09 pm
dude it is not a fun game when you lose and when were 0-8 or should i say 0-10
November 11th, 2009 at 10:10 pm
There was miscommunication at the final play. Its ok though, we just have to keep fighting and we’re gonna win eventually.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:11 pm
These guys are never coming back…
CDR & Lee keep getting delayed …
Harris will probably be out until after Thanksgiving
Hayes and Dooling probably won’t return mid December
Battie will announce retirement in the next few days
Yi will probably have at least 5 setbacks and wont be on the court until February
This team is going to at least the 0-10 to 0-12 range, will pick up a win against MIL/NYK/IND (one of them), but then we’ll probably go on another 2-15 stretch. By the all-star break, we’ll have a winning percentage below .200. We’re winning 8 to 14 games this season.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:14 pm
They played hard until the end. I thought Lopez was fouled on that previous play, but he didn’t get the call. He played well tonight, him and Boone. Terrence William, still need a lot of work on his shots.
That turnover at the end was careless and stupid. Alston shouldn’t have made the pass to there. I personally prefer Dooling over Alston anyday. Anyone who said otherwise is blind, and fail to see whose the better player.
We will probably continue to lose for a long time, probably until we play the Bucks.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:15 pm
fun game. brook is awesome. twill needs to work on his shot and needs to drive/attack the rim more often…
0-8…only 7 more straight losses until frank is fired!
November 11th, 2009 at 10:15 pm
LFrank should probably be considered for Coach of the year by getting our team even remotely competitive in these games.
On most teams, Hassel, Boone, Najera, Swat, simmons dont see the last 10 minutes of a game. By us, they’re playing crunch time for the most part.
Also, everyone look at the bright side. At least we have a 1st round pick next season unlike our crosstown counterparts.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:16 pm
Everyone relax, please relax…
We all knew what we were getting into with this team.
Obviously we want to see our team win, but all will be well
There is a greater plan in place and this is a bump in the road.
Go Nets
November 11th, 2009 at 10:16 pm
@ andrew eventually…. the nets winnable game is vs pacers at home but before is heat and magic. 0-10. by the end of this month we will be atleast 3-14. west coast trip is gonna kill us
November 11th, 2009 at 10:18 pm
@ wow smartnetsfan, this is horrible this is a huge bump in road. how r we supposed to relax. if we don’t win a certain amount of games were not getting any big FREE AGENT no matter how much money we have. we will be worst team in nba….
November 11th, 2009 at 10:20 pm
Play the young guys – focus on future, and forget the record.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:31 pm
refs didn’t make the obvious call when Brook was fouled in the end of the game.
Did you see the play where ball bounced off whole part of Speight’s lower body out of bounds yet ref gave the ball to Sixers. Here you’ve the game. Cannot win with seven players with refs making bloody obvious mistakes.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:35 pm
#1 pick!!!!!!!!
November 11th, 2009 at 10:36 pm
why wasn’t sean williams playing?
Our players were probably exhausted
I think the refs should be replaced by robots who watch the game and dont make mistakes
Fire frank
rafer alston was probably so tired he couldnt think anymore
especially at the end of the game
November 11th, 2009 at 10:38 pm
sigh… if harris, cdr, and lee can be healthy until 25 games, we could have much better record… maybe 3-7 to start the season.. LOL
at least, you know, John Wall!
November 11th, 2009 at 10:40 pm
Rather than pooling our money to sign a high quality free agent, let’s pool our money to hire some competent officials. Seriously, for the love of God.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:42 pm
@kingching
Who you propose Sean should sub, Rafer? There was no need of him. We need our guards back. Rafer is not young to play 43+ minutes.
What Frank can do here? If he plays Simmons and he misses the shot TWill missed (his last shot), everybody would castigate him for playing Simmons over TWill. Now TWill missed two late shots and we think Simmons may have been the better choice. I won’t blame Frank for this lost.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:47 pm
This one is right up there with Opies finest. This bonehead coach seriously deserves to go 0-82. Let’s start with the fact that you only have 8 guys to start with and he decides that he doesn’t need one of them. That’s classic. Then we’ll go to the play by play, 4th qtr.
Nets up 69-66, 7:53 to go. You know what time it is all you Opie fans. Let’s clap. ITS SMALL BALL TIME!
TWill in for Najera, Simmons to the PF. Guess what happens? That’s right, we blow the lead and Phil up 77-75 3:45 left.
Boone in for Simmons. Let’s make it interesting. We get the lead back.
Nets up 79-77 1:26 left
Opie to the rescue! Simmons in for Boone. Back to Small Ball! OK you Opie fans, what happens?
After Speights putback and foul its Phil 80-79. Why? Maybe cuz he’s 6’10 and could jump and Simmons is 6’6 and nailed to the floor.
Now on the last play at this time I don’t know what the play was but we’re down 3 so obviously we need a three to tie. The question is, if Simmons is getting the pass, where was he going to shoot the ball? It looked to me that he curled to the foul line (why if he needs a three) and Alston thought he was coming towards the 3 pt. line and threw the pass while Simmons curled for no reason. Bad execution but we got what we deserved.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:50 pm
@ matt
don’t forget the game vs the Bucks and the Knicks those are winnable games too. At least we should pull out a win out of those three games.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:51 pm
yeah why did frank put simmons in for boone? oh yeah because frank is stupid and so is his coaching staff. i want brian hill.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:51 pm
@ Mr Big
Now, you’re the one guy who presents your argument with evidence!!! Opies and Simmons at their best.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:52 pm
brook lopez is a beasst though
November 11th, 2009 at 10:52 pm
I can smell the Wall
November 11th, 2009 at 10:56 pm
You guys seriously need to chill out. It’s about next year. I’m dissapointed too but they as good as they probably could. Lets start rooting for whichever team plays against the Mavs so that we can get 2 lottery picks.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:02 pm
Who taught LFrank how to tie a tie, a circus clown? His tie knots are almost as big as his head.
Jessica Taft is horrible. She asks each player the same stupid question about how they were just one play away from winning, and how frustrating it must be. To me, it just seems like a dumb question… because there were several plays in the game where they didn’t execute.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:03 pm
@ KingChing and KFranchise – agree 100% with everything you wrote!!
November 11th, 2009 at 11:06 pm
Frank needs to go and we should of kept Anderson because I dont see the hype about role player courtney lee.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:08 pm
Larry, Curly and Moe what a staff. Speaking of Curly, anybody know how is Nenad doing?
November 11th, 2009 at 11:14 pm
atleast knicks lost…. if we won we could of had better record lol
November 11th, 2009 at 11:16 pm
KEEP FRANK!!
Seriously, any other coach would walk out on the NCAA D-II squad that Ratner and Co. have put together. This simply may be the worst collection of talent ever put on the floor by a NBA franchise. It is shameful.
KEEP FRANK!
HOLLAH!!!
November 11th, 2009 at 11:17 pm
Great analysis Mr. Big about Lawrence Frank’s bad coaching decision down the stretch. I do not like Bobby Simmons playing for this team!
November 11th, 2009 at 11:18 pm
I like terrence williams and i think he has alot of potential. His shot will come but until it does he look to drive more. I am not worried. Nets plahyed hard despite misisng 4/5 of their starters. This season is about developing youth. And from what i have seen lopez and Cdr are showing big improvement and terrence williams is showing his potential. We wil probably have a bad record and that does discourage free agnets. However, we have a great young core and will have a high draft pick next year.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:19 pm
lopez was definitely fouled on the previous play. too bad refs didn’t call it.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:20 pm
@ RamboJambo – The Mavs lost again, so there you go.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:21 pm
@ Tom F – Great, so now we have the Three Stooges for a coaching staff!
November 11th, 2009 at 11:21 pm
Nenad is doing awesome for the Thunder. In the blowout against the Magic, he really took advantage of Howard staying in the paint by just raining jumper after jumper, and was working the pick and pop to perfection.
Just watched the Cavs win vs the Magic…We’re going to lose even harder on Friday since Magic don’t lose two in a row games.
Is CLee playing on Friday?
November 11th, 2009 at 11:22 pm
Ugh! Sell the team already!
November 11th, 2009 at 11:23 pm
@ NateDD – NO. Maybe a week from Saturday against the Knicks at home.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:23 pm
Great effort! WE need our bodies back. Atleast, the seven guys left are very competitive. The last play was awful. It would have been nice to have Devin in there for the last play. I feel a win soon. Lol
November 11th, 2009 at 11:25 pm
Atleast we have our draft pick! LOL
November 11th, 2009 at 11:41 pm
Dang Alston and Simmmons!
I look at all the suits on the bench, and it gives me very good feelings. You start those 6(including CDR) and we have a pretty good looking team. Lovvvveeee Keyon.
Its going to be so nice not having Alston on the floor with 2 tics left.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:41 pm
Still can’t have a win…
November 11th, 2009 at 11:52 pm
nets played hard, brooke definitely got fouled 3 different times on the same drive and alston threw away the game but really the sixers should be embarrassed for being in two nailbiters with this team and consider themselves lucky for being able to pull them off. when it comes down to it this season may be painful right now but al least we didnt a huge contract for a guy that totally clashes with the team’s identity just so that he can ride the bench in the 4th quarter.
I’ll be looking forward to when we have full strength, you shouldn’t win any of these games if the other team just barely takes care of business but with our full roster it’ll at least make for some good games to watch.
November 12th, 2009 at 12:01 am
They played their butts off again. Brook looks better and better each game. TWill is a good player now and he actually shoots the 3 pretty well. He needs to work on his intermediate jumper. But really, other than TWill and Brook, the rest of the guys played hard, maybe not too well, but they are not going to be here next year. So I am not sweating it. As far as I am concerned we will have two records by the end of the season. The first is total W’s and L’s – thats the one that will likely get us a top 4 draft pick. Then there is our W-L record with a completely healthy roster. I am hoping that one is considerably better than our overall record, and that will be the record we pitch to free agents in the offseason.
November 12th, 2009 at 12:05 am
What does B-Lo have to do to get respect in this league.
Stern should be falling all over the clean-livin,’ young, up-standing, community-oriented, Hispanic-last name, uber-talented young, big man. Where’s the damn Stern-repect calls ‘call’ to the ref, where we get one for once?
B-Lo was mugged by Speights 3 times, 3 different ways on the last play. Travesty.
November 12th, 2009 at 12:31 am
I agree with my man Shawn. Keep Frank. He’s doing a good job with this group. If you’re pinning this on him, you simply have an agenda. I mean, come on, this team makes an expansion team look like the Dynasty Celtics. Such a train wreck, I can’t believe I’m still watching. I need a support group.
November 12th, 2009 at 12:39 am
sad loss
lopez is the future
November 12th, 2009 at 12:41 am
@ Mr.Big
well said, we must say Frank the Opie is the king of the rescue for getting John Wall.
You want to win ball games? No way ! Opie would stop it.
November 12th, 2009 at 12:48 am
@ RamboJambo
That’s what I’m talking about. The only thing I do is root against the Mavs this year. If they can get an injury just to set em back… j/k whatever happens happens. It is tough to watch but what you expect with the injuries we have? Sigh…
But all this is to get the youth some experience. They gotta go through the losing to appriciate the winning. Us fans appriciate it far to well…
November 12th, 2009 at 12:54 am
There was absolutely no reason why Josh Boone played only 28 minutes tonight.
I advocate starting Josh Boone at PF even when Yi comes back. Let the split the minutes at the 4, and slap that bum simmons on the bench
I really don’t care about Sean Williams playing, but Josh Boone needs to get as many minutes as feasibly possible. I love how Josh has added the short jumper
The guys played hard tonight. Brook was a beast, the refs were awful. It’s okay, the more we lose, the better for us in the draft. Leave T-Will and Boone in at the starting forward spots
November 12th, 2009 at 12:55 am
2 words. Fire Frank !!!!!!!!!!
Why would he not use Sean. How stubern can u be. Realy!!
November 12th, 2009 at 12:57 am
we were playing with three guys (simmons, hassell, najera) who wouldn’t see the floor on the majority of teams in this league. throw in a rookie, a shoot first point guard, a defensive-minded power forward (boone, not swat), and a great center and the end result of this game showed all of that. consistent play from lopez, erratic play from twill, good hustle and rebounding from boone, some points and bad decisions by alston, and the constant sight of the guys who WOULD be out there instead of najera, simmons, hassell, and swat just clapping in suits. not a bad game. (wow harris, dooling, hayes, yi, and lee? i like this team)
November 12th, 2009 at 1:14 am
Listen there should not be one person in here complaining about L-Frank what do y’all honestly expect for him to do with a line-up like this? Half our team is cheerleading on the sideline during the game with suits on.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:26 am
Dan the Fan, Sean Williams is the one of the most useless players in the entire league. Can you seriously blame Frank entirely? He has EIGHT bodies, most of em being substandard players. The fact that they are fighting like this bodes well for Frank. Put some good talent in front of him and the results will change. Once Battie comes back, and Boone can slide to the 4 permanently (forget about Sean Williams, for cryin out loud), we can actually have a decent rotation at the F/C spots. Patience, people.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:40 am
its late and the nets lost so im dreaming again.
2010 opening day roster:
Devin Harris
Courtney Lee
Terrence Williams
Chris Douglas-Roberts
Lebron James
Brooke Lopez
Yi Jianlian
Amare Stoudemire (no way he demands max…right?)
Keyon Dooling
Josh Boone
Jarvis Hayes
2nd Overall Pick
18th Overall Pick
31st Overall Pick
Eduardo Najera
AWESOME TEAM
1 Harris, Dooling
2 Lee, CDR
3 Lebron, Twill, Hayes
4 Amare, Yi,,,,,,,,,,,,,Najera
5 Lopez, Boone
And that’s with out three of the top 31 players in the draft! Holy sh*t we’re gonna win a chip.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:42 am
Do we have a second round pick next season? That could be like a low first.
The Nets traded a few second rounders for Cliff Robinson and Mikki Moore, but is that over with? Do the Nets get a second rounder from Golden State in the revised Marcus Williams trade?
I’m confused.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:48 am
We need to keep Frank imo. This team is not blessed with loads of talent. Add our current injury bug and the situation is damn bleak. Everyone knows the situation yet people are reacting after every loss is the one loss that knocked us out of the playoffs. It is not the coaches fault… yet.
If we don’t see player growth and at least 14 wins by the all-star break I will change my tune.
Also, please don’t say we would have won if ‘this guy’ played vs ‘that guy’. You don’t know. You couldn’t. If you have some sort of temporal omniscience give me this week’s lottery numbers. Then I will start listening to you.
November 12th, 2009 at 2:46 am
The Nets need to bring back Kidd, K-mart, RJ, Vince, Nenad, and Nachbar with the current starters to win games. Throw in Van Horn and the Nets will definitely win a championship this year.
November 12th, 2009 at 4:56 am
@smp369
Sean Williams is not the most useless player in the league, B. Simmons is.
And because we only had 8 bodies and Frank did not use SWat for 1minute is my complaint. What has Simmons done (besides fire enough bricks to build a middle school) to deserve playing PF over SWat. ? Thiers coaching with a philosophy and then thiers Lawrence Frank.
November 12th, 2009 at 6:32 am
@ Neonidas
Man not even if we get ginobili, terry and bosh at the bench. RJ doesnt defend, Jkidd cant score, Nenad hasnt found his old game yet, K-mart wont come. he’ll retire 1st.
VC only decent player.
still we wont win with that team!!!
November 12th, 2009 at 6:39 am
Well i put $50 on
PHX winning by at least 6 pts
Portland by 8 pts
Detroit by 5 pts
Cavs by 1 pt
76ers by 3 pts
Atlanta by 5 pts
and i won exactly $$$ 1,898.00
i knew all thoses team would beat their opponets, Sixers scared me hard, when the Nets got in front late in the game but they manage to come back.
Sorry Nets still i got my money
November 12th, 2009 at 7:05 am
OMG, wish you told me about that one.
November 12th, 2009 at 7:35 am
The Izod started to rock last night when Lopez scored two straight on impressive moves to put the Nets up 4. Harris, your stay as the man on this team was short-lived, say hello to the new man, Brook Lopez .
Btw, the attendance at the Izod on a Tuesday night for a winless team was greater than the attendance in Philly on a Friday night for a possible playoff team. Go Nets fans!
November 12th, 2009 at 7:35 am
Why is Frank so stubborn?
Why doeshe keep Swat glued to the bench?
Why does he keep playing Najera and Simmons?
Why didn’t he play Josh more?
I find it laughable that people here bash Swat when he hasnt even been given any significant PT at all this season to evaluate him. Yet guys like Najera and Simmons can suck all they want, Opie keeps them in the rotation. Those are the guys you should bash, not Swat! Believe me, if we had Odom or Rasheed Wallace coming off the bench at the 4, I wouldn’t ask Opie to play Sean… but we have Bobby Simmons and Eddie Najera getting minutes at the backup 4 and Frank keeps playing him no matter how much they suck!
November 12th, 2009 at 7:41 am
This team cannot beat anyone. This is currently the worst team in the NBA. Its not that the team doesn’t have talent – they do. They should be better than 0-8, even with their injuries. What the team lacks is discipline. They fold under pressure – every time. Its so obvious.
Frank has two games to go before he gets called in for a little “discussion”. His days are numbered.
November 12th, 2009 at 8:00 am
Betting against the Nets when they have the lead is easy money.
I know the players are saying that they really want to win and their body language says it too. However, in the backs of their mind they know that losing early in the year will only help the future of this team via the draft and trade.
Management isn’t too concerned with these losses either, or else they wouldn’t be trying to get the 7 injured Nets fully recovered, before putting them back on the court.
The more experience the current squad gets, the higher their trade value will be or else the better they will later in year, when a good finish will be needed to impress the Free Agents.
Actually, the Nets are probably playing better than in last couple of years, except they don’t have Vince for his end game theatrics. In the past, Nets would lose Big or have a close outcome based on Vince’s (or Harris’) last minute effort. Many of us said in the past how many wins Vince gave the Nets, and now it is being proven, without him.
There is no need to worry as long as Court ruling goes Nets way.
The order of future success is –
1. lose nearly all games early on, but with competitive losses.
2. get groundbreaking done and Proky in control.
3. with players finally healthy, let Thorn pull off a big trade, before deadline, to help make team better down low.
4. have a nice finish to year to impress everyone, but still finish with one of the 4 worst records.
Step #1 is well underway!
November 12th, 2009 at 8:15 am
The funny thing is that LFrank knows he won’t be fired before Proky takes over decision making. And even then, he might not be fired until the best future coach is hired, which might not be until after this season.
In any past year Frank would be fired, and replaced with an interim coach, if only for management to show the fans that they are trying.
I would bet, that if Frank was replaced at this time, the early losses would become bigger. Players maybe competing harder to try to win a game for LFrank.
Hopefully, LFrank will get a new coaching position in the NBA for next year, if not as a top College coach.
November 12th, 2009 at 8:16 am
Such a sad loss
Brook looks incredible on offense
Frank actually ran a high low post with Boone feeding Brook low.
Frank needs to run that play with Yi because Yi and Brook can hit the outside shot
it worked with boone it will work with Yi
SWat should be playing period!
playing 7 men is bad even when you have 8 players
TWill needs the ball more to attack the basket
I hope DH Lee and Yi are watching AND learning
this team is playing hard!
GO NETS!
Lets do the Lebron trade now and get it over with
NJ Nets send DH BS and 2 1st rd draft picks to cleve for Lebron
then
Yi Battie and Lee to toronto for Bosh
November 12th, 2009 at 8:33 am
Well I think we still will get free agents even if we totally suck. Not the older guys, but the young guys looking for their first huge contract. Also the guys who don’t care about winning and just want the cash. Mainly Rudy Gay and David Lee come to mind as young guys. Carlos Boozer could also come to us
November 12th, 2009 at 9:03 am
First game I have watched entirely since the Orlando game. It wasn’t very high quality on either side. Brook is amazing, Duncanesque. The rest of the lineup was clearly second rate. They worked so hard on D that I have to forgive the offensive struggles. I hope they remember that frustration is a state of mind. It’s one of the few things they can control and they ought to make that their number one goal over the next few days.
November 12th, 2009 at 9:20 am
Lawrence Frank is beginning to grow on me. I was very proud of the Nets and how they played last nite. Hopefully, Harris, Lee, Yi, CDR, are watching and learning on how to play a team game. Looking forward to taking Florida by storm this weekend. Lets go Nets.
November 12th, 2009 at 9:55 am
Great job by Brook Lopez. His focus and intensity at the end of the game were all you could ask for and more. If he keeps that up he could find himself the leader of this team.
November 12th, 2009 at 10:47 am
If we don’t win a game, do we get all first round draf picks next year?
Hollah!
November 12th, 2009 at 11:06 am
It looks like Frank is Sean Williams hater…its sad that he had DNP

I loved the way Josh Boone played last night. Hustled and played smart. Keep up the good work Josh.

Nice game boonie, hopefully you will be allowed to keep playing at your natural postion, the 4 even when the asian mel counts returns.
Shortfrank is a jerk for DNP-CDnot Swat last night.
Shortfrank went small again last night at key stretches result: another loss. which leads to the following:
Will they change the rule and let us have automatic #1 pick instead of ping pong balls if we go 0-82
Gotta start watching college, who is No. 1; Dont see Wall as we dont need perimiter unless he is jordanesque.
I can’t take it anymore.

“pawley Says:
Who taught LFrank how to tie a tie, a circus clown? His tie knots are almost as big as his head.”
Best comment on the board. I’ve been wondering this for a while. It makes him look even smaller than he is. A small thing, sure, but it is ironic that a guy whose strongest selling point is his preparation can’t dress himself properly.
Oh yeah, tough loss. If we had one more loss last year (or called heads ferchristsake), we could have gotten Brandon Jennings, so don’t despair. Most of us knew that this year was going to be bad, and with all the injuries, we are now the worst. Even the Kings and Bucks are winning, and the rest of the league is laughing at us (more than usual, I mean). But the last laugh will be ours when the Brooklyn Nets are crowned champs and the dynasty begins.

We have 2 first round picks next year in a VERY DEEP draft. I do not mind the losing since I was not a delusional idiot who thought we had a chance this year. Let’s hope Dallas keeps losing as well so we have two top 15 picks.

Game was fun to watch. Nets played hard all the way.
I think the injured guys could beat the guys on the court.
It’s like all we’re dressing is the blue squad from scrimmage.
Brook was fouled 3 times on the play. 3rd was a reacharound hit in the face.
Frank’s tie knot…I can’t even sum up my feelings now, there’s so much to say on this topic. I hope we all weigh in on this one. Erstein must have a POV with his special slant. Maybe NI can do a bulletin on the tie knot. Fox sports special report? It really is a large tie knot. heheh.

@ Halwas – just like his former boss, good ol’ Byron, now according to ESPN.

Is the tie knot getting bigger as the losing streak continues?

I like Lopez as much as the next guy, but if you see him as the next dominant franchise player you gotta be a little more critical. Yeah, he did get fouled like 3 times before that missed layup, but that was the time when he should’ve gone stronger and attempted to dunk the ball. Gotta put the pressure on the Refs. Second, he forgot to box out Speights, and let him got a rebound and had that crucial 3pt play. He needs to learn how to put 100percent focus during the most important stretch of the game. That 3 pt play was a killer, and he was totally out of position. It’s that simple! In close games, the least you can do is to secure defensive rebounds. YOu CAN”T, YOU LOSE!!!
ONe other point. For the Frank’s supporter. Explain this reasoning to me. When players do not play motivated, you guys said it’s “ALL on the players” because they don’t buy what the coaches sell. Alright!!! NOw, when the players do play motivated, you guys said it’s “the coach’s credit” because he successfully motivated a group of players with lesser talents.
Do you know the concept of double bind? YOU CANNOT have it both ways. With this kind of reasoning, you can literally excuse Frank for doing ANYTHING wrong. It’s loser logic!
