While the other New York team is getting ink for all the wrong reasons, Nets players took to social media over the last few days to offer gratitude to the Nets organization and promise to get things straight next year.
Here’s a sampling...
"I want to really thank the @brooklynnets for the amazing opportunity presented in front of me. This summer is going to be huge for me and us. I have a lot of work to do so starting today I'm shutting off my phones and social media until the start of next season. I'm locked in and ready to prove to everybody that doubted me that y'all made a huge mistake." - Archie Goodwin
"What a year. Thank you to the @brooklynnets organization for giving me an opportunity. And to the amazing fans for all the support through the ups and downs. Was definitely a year of maturation and growth." - Spencer Dinwiddie
"On the plane thnking about my rookie year..thankful for my coaches, fans and especially my teammates! Back to the lab, see y'all next year." - Caris LeVert
"I am grateful for all the support throughout the year! I want to thank the staff and my teammates. To the fans #Until3 wait on it! #Focused" - Rondae Hollis-Johnson
"THANK YOU to my coaches, teammates, organization and fans for the support this year! Not the year i had expected but we learned and grew. Time to rest then back to work. Hard work when no ones around will prepare us for when the lights are the brightest!!" - Jeremy Lin
"Year Uno In The Books. Thanks To Those Who Supported Me Through My Rookie Year. Going To Work My Tail Off To Come Back A Better Player" - Isaiah Whitehead
"I've never felt more at home than I do on this team. My whole life, I've been an underdog. That's what this team is. Did we have a great year? If you look at our record, no. What you don't see is a leadership team laying the groundwork for a winning team in the future. What you don't see is a group of guys building on and into each other. We trust each other. We go at it for each other. What you don't see is the sting that every L left us with. What you don't see is the fire that's building in this locker room. Mark my words - We are going to compete. We are going to come back tougher and sharper next season. I can't wait to share it with all of you. THANK YOU to the fans, to team leadership, to my team, to my family and to God for all of the blessings you've given me. Now I ask you - what do you see??" - Sean Kilpatrick
