This Jason Kidd controversy is very troubling. I've loved Jason Kidd the player since he came into the league and like all of us here was delighted by everything he gave the Nets franchise. This whole debacle seems surreal. The Nets just got out of the first round of the playoffs for the first time since Kidd played here. Judging from the new contracts given to the likes of Derek Fisher and Steve Kerr, Jason certainly does have legitimate beef. He should be asking for a raise, but trying to undermine your GM and then trying to jump ship is weak and classless. This organization has been too good to Jason for him to throw the Nets under the bus like this.
All that said, it seems like we are in the market for a new coach. Is Mark Jackson even a remote possibility? I know he was a Kidd supporter, but circumstantially i dont know if he could really side with Jason here. What do you guys think? Mark Jackson for next coach of the Nets? I say yes. Any thoughts?
