Jason Kidd said Kevin Garnett won't play tomorrow at Miami, but will play at Orlando on Wednesday. Garnett is practicing today in Miami.— Andy Vasquez (@andy_vasquez) April 7, 2014
Garnett returned to action on Saturday night against the 76ers, after having missed the 19 previous games with back spasms. Garnett played 13 minutes, scoring 10 points with four rebounds in a win over the 76ers.
Kevin Garnett said plan is "to build toward something bigger, to just not tomorrow. But for postseason and to finish off this season." #Nets— Rod Boone (@rodboone) April 7, 2014
With the Nets playing in a back-to-back set, there were little expectations about Kidd letting Garnett play in both games. Garnett is practicing, which is a good sign for future prospects of him being read to play when the Playoffs start in a few weeks.
No word yet, but expect Mason Plumlee to start in Garnett's place.
