I must apologize to the members of this community. I made comments yesterday that brought the wrath of GMJ down upon myself in the form of a stern warning to "stop trolling New Jersey fans". That is exactly what I did, no denying it, and I'm a little bit ashamed of myself for that.
As a proud Brooklynite I can say emphatically that I never cared much for basketball before the Nets became my hometeam. I've now gone two straight seasons watching every single Nets game, and been to my first 3 live NBA games (one of which being Game 5 against the Bulls at Barclays). I care deeply about the history of the Organization as much as I do about its present and future, and admire the dedication of fans of the "New Jersey Nets" who stuck with the team as they wallowed in obscurity for many seasons.
I must say, however, that I do sense a bit of an anti-Brooklyn sentiment among certain NetsDaily members and it's a bit insulting to someone who loves his borough immensely. Despite this, two wrongs do NOT make a right, and I should NOT have reacted the way I did. It wasn't fair to anyone who saw/read those comments.
If you didn't see the comments, of course I won't repeat them, but if you did, and were offended...I'd like to say...mea culpa.
