That's how many players on the current roster were in a Nets uniform when we lost to the Bulls in the playoffs last year. One of them, Brook Lopez, is done for the season, leaving only Joe Johnson, Mirza Teletovic, Deron Williams, and Andray Blatche. Every other Net wasn't on the roster under PJ Carlesimo, and Mirza? He barely even got off the bench.
History may repeat itself, but this team isn't that team. Record aside, this team is better than that team. That team was "soft" and had no identity. It took a while, but this team is establishing itself under Jason Kidd as more than just another weak and slow iso offense, like we had last year. I fear Miami and to a lesser extent Indiana, but I relish the opportunity to have our Nets get "revenge" in the postseason against Chicago.
That said, this Chicago team is probably better than last year's Chicago team. Derrick Rose is the status quo. Nate Robinson, Marco Belinelli, and Kirk Hinrich got hot at the right time and kept them alive, but Noah is playing out of his mind, while Mike Dunleavy, Jr. and Jimmer Fredette are new sharpshooters they've added to make the team an outside threat... but Williams, Johnson, Pierce, and Teletovic from three point range are as good as any four guys.
