It was an early wakeup call for the Nets Thursday morning as the players, coaches and basketball operations staff gathered at City Harvest in Long Island City, where they packed donated food for the city's less fortunate. It's part of the NBA Cares effort tied to All Star Weekend in New York.
Some slept at Barclays Center and at least two, assistant coaches Paul Westphal and John Welch, spent a lot of the time going through videos from the Timberwolves game. Sounds like sleep deprivation to us.
Here's a collection of tweets and Instagram images from the team and beat writers

Another sign of Lionel Hollins' impact: Adam Silver said NBA initially asked for only a few #Nets for today's event given team's schedule.

Silver said Hollins responded: "We do things as a team." So #Nets had every member of the team there as well as entire coaching staff.
