Reboot the Nets

This is the trade to make if we're blowing it all up. Word is that all of these guys are "available" (if that means anything).

Here's the trade:

Blazers get: Omer Asik, Mirza Teletovic, Reggie Evans

Bobcats get: Paul Pierce, J. Freeland

Rockets get: Deron Williams, Tornike Shengelia

Nets get: Ben Gordon, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Jeremy Lin, Meyers Leonard, Thomas Robinson, CJ McCollum

For all of you who are about to say that the Blazers don't need the players they're getting: Robin is playing very well, yes, but Asik is a far better rim protector and rebounder, and since Portland's defensive scheme relies heavily on a perimeter blockade and leaving it's big men inside alone. Asik would be a big upgrade for them. For him, I feel like they'd be willing to give up two bigs that would be rendered even less useful and a young bench scorer (who's minutes may be blocked by Mo Williams anyway). Plus they get a PF who can score the ball off the bench in Mirza.

The Bobcats are looking to get better immediately, and having Pierce gives them stronger leadership and experience in the playoff series it seems they'll inevitably be in. Giving up Kidd-Gilchrist hurts a bit, but Pierce would be worth it for them, if only for his offense (he really is warming up lately).
