Did Kidd make a mistake resting KG tonight?

It didn't really hit me until we came out lifeless in the fourth quarter and gave away this game, but did Kidd make a mistake by resting KG tonight as opposed to in London vs Atlanta (non-division opponent we currently trail in the standings)?

Besides obviously trying to win a sixth consecutive game, this game was important in that we had a chance to beat Toronto on the road for the second time this season, all the while cutting the deficit in the division to just two games.

If he plays KG tonight [I understand this was a back end of a back-to-back that saw us go to 2OT's last night] against the division-leading Raptors and we have enough energy, leadership, etc to pull out a victory and cut the division lead to two, he could then either bring KG to London, sit him out of the Atlanta game, and then he would end up not playing in a game for 8 days OR he could just keep KG home, don't even force him to fly overseas to practice, let him rest for a week before the big game vs the Knicks on MLK Jr. Day.

Obviously, hind-sight is 20/20, but it just feels like the more important game based on playoff implications as well as the current hot streak we are on would have been tonight's game vs Toronto as opposed to Thursday's game in London vs the Hawks.
