Remove Pierce, Garnett and Terry, and we still improved.

Hipothetical scenario:

Let's say that instead of the Celtics trade, we went into cost cutting mode, and managed to dump Hump's and Wallace's contracts by giving up Brooks and a few draft picks to teams under the cap. We didn't recieve any players back, only trade exceptions.

Let's say we made the same signings as we did anyway. We still drafted Plumlee, retained Blatche, added AK, Aderson and Livingston, and we also hired Jason Kidd as head coach. This is the roster:

Dwill / Sdot / Taylor
JJ / AA
AK / Toko
Blatche / Mirza / Evans
Lopez / Plumlee

I think this team is just as good as last years team, and we still win 50 games.

The addition of Plumlee is huge, because it gives us a legit backup center, and that allows us to put Blatche at PF, so we don't have to start Evans anymore.
I think Livingston being a pass first point guard is also a huge improvement over CJ Watson.
Anderson in my opinion is also an upgrade over any of Brooks, Bogans and Stackhouse, since he is as good defensively as Bogans, as good of a shot creator as Marshon, and he can replace the scoring of the three of them combined.
AK is also much better than the Wallace of last year, he is basically better in everything. He gives us a better smallball PF, he is more athletic, defends better, and is much better offensively too.

Eveything that KG, Pierce and Terry add to this team is a net gain compared to last season.

Do you guys agree?
