Toko Shengelia underwent successful surgery on his left knee Wednesday, the Nets announced. He will miss FIBA Eurobasket where he hoped to play for his native Georgia but is expected to be ready for training camp, now eight weeks away. Earlier this week, Shengelia's father said the recuperation could take as little as two weeks. Shengelia was seen putting up shots at the PNY Center Tuesday. According to reports, Shengelia damaged his meniscus.
Shortly after his surgery, the Georgian Basketball Federation posted a picture of Shengelia giving a thumbs up.
