I was randomly thinking, if we trade away Joe Johnson, would that allow us to make a sign-and-trade?
Hearing about the Buck's offer to Monta Ellis made me think, it seems that their management just wants a player to keep them in playoff mediocrity (8th seed). Wouldn't they rather just get another SG that would be cheaper and more efficient, and build around Sanders?
So given this.. not even considering if the Bucks would even want to accept this deal, but just considering the cap situation:
Would it be possible to send JJ (19 mil) to the Bucks,
and get back Ellis (S&T, say ~13 mil) and Ilyasova (8 mil). Or we just aren't allowed to do such a deal?
Say that's allowed, we throw in picks/prospects (such as Toko/TT/Brooks) and whatever else to make the deal more enticing to the Bucks, then swing Hump for a 6th man or a backup 3 or a TE. We'd also have the mini-MLE to fill out the roster.
So we could look like:
Dwill/ Backup pg (CJ?)
Once again this is all if the CBA even allows for the initial trade.
