Let me start by saying this is 99% not going to happen. However, I am asking the question is it even possible because I now the Nets are restricted in offseason moves by being so far over the cap.
Even if the Lakers were amenable to doing a sign and trade with the Nets for Dwight can it go through? I see next season as a completely lost one for the Lakers with Kobe out and the probability of them trading Gasol. So if Dwight tells them he is not coming back to Lakerland can the Lakers sign and trade him to the Nets for multiple draft picks, Humps expiring, Marshon and other filler?
All the Lakers care about is having huge amount of cap space in the summer of 2014. Taking back Hump as a one year rental wouldn't put that in jeopardy. Although the Laker fans would hate it.
