Game three was a complete disaster for the Nets. They shot only 34.6 percent and struggled all game long to find some rhythm. Bulls were overloading the paint as usual and Luol Deng went off in the third quarter hitting those mid range jumpers. And when you see Carlos Boozer hitting shots with the foul, you know you're in trouble.
That's why I think the Nets should play smaller lineup against the Bulls. I love Reggie Evans, but he is non presence in this series against Noah who plays with way more energy than Reggie. In terms of Lopez, Bulls defence make it very tough for him on the low block with aggressive double teaming. Unfortunately Lopez is not capable defender to be the Nets' only big guy on the floor, but why not give it a try. Williams - Watson - Johnson - Wallace - Lopez lineup could make some damage against Bulls that are over helping everything.
The only way the Nets beated the Bulls was in the transition where their defence tend to collapse. Smaller lineup could help there as well. By the way every possibility to give CJ Watson more playing time would be great, this guy gotta be going. Especially since Joe is not hundred percent healthy. (why he didn't take that three in the crunch time?)
What you guys think? Would the Nets be destroyed if the played smaller lineup? Or is that the only way to beat the Bull's defence?
