As expected, the Nets have recalled Tornike Shengelia from Springfield this morning, after a brief three-game stint. Shengelia scored 26 points last night in a record-setting evening, in which the Armor scored a franchise-best 130 points against the Erie Bayhawks.
In six games with the Armor, Toko has averaged 26.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.7 steals, while shooting 57.7 percent from the floor. Truly, dominant.
As NetIncome noted last night, both Bobby Marks and Milton Lee were on hand for Toko's 26-point performance, so it'll be interesting to see what the "next step" is with him.
Also, of note:
There's no limit to the # of times you can send a player to the DLeague. Also Armor has 4 days off. So this is about Toko practicing w/ Nets— Stefan Bondy (@NYDNInterNets) March 5, 2013
