Fans not the only ones who see Reggie hurts the offense....

Last night I had the opportunity to sit court side to see Mavs@Nets. During a side out of bounds play near the Nets bench Deron was set to receive the inbound. He and PJ were having a brief convo and Deron said to PJ, "Its terrible when a guy gets double teamed and you can't pass to the open man. Its terrible". PJ seemed to ignore the comment and continued to call out instruction while Deron took the ball down court.

We can all guess who Deron was referring to. Reggie Evans was in the game and is the only player on this team that brings no offensive production. Deron seemed to be disgusted by the fact that teams continue to double off Evans anytime a player enters the paint.

The power forward spot is a clear weakness but I think it can be managed much better. Reggie Evans is not a starter in this league. He is a very good role player to have on a team where the coaching staff understands his limitations and will manage his minutes accordingly. Hump has disappointed but he can at least play the PnR game a little and you have to show some respect for his midrange game. I believe Mirza can be a good player once he gets consistent minutes. He can put the ball on the floor and is more athletic than ppl give him credit for. Wallace can play some minutes at the 4 vs smaller teams who like to run.

Let's hope PJ listens to his starting PG and we see less minutes for Reggie Evans.
