The Brooklyn Nets announced this afternoon that Tornike "Toko" Shengelia has been re-assigned to the D-League, and will join the Springfield Armor for their game on Friday evening against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

This will be Toko's 4th 3rd trip to the D-League, where he is averaging 28.3 points on 64.3 percent shooting, 13.7 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.7 blocks. Simply, dominant. He also holds the season record for 17 made field goals in a game, resulting in 39 points -- tied for second most this season in the D-League.

Now, the Nets have a little flexibility in that they can sign a player for the rest of the season (by 11:59 p.m. Friday night, in order for him to be eligible for the playoffs). Players like Raja Bell and Omri Casspi are said to be available, but neither is necessarily linked to the Nets.
