Is this even possible? Moves to be a contender

So it looks like this season is not panning out the way all of us ND followers were hoping. Nets will make the playoffs but with a low rank and have to play another eastern conference powerhouse in the first round-- or so it appears thus far. I kind of hope its the Knicks because our team would finally play with some fight, on the other hand I am terrified of losing to NY cuz all my friends are Knicks fans and I would get a lot of smack talk coming my way. With our current roster, record, and play take into consideration these three points: 1. D Will is hurt and will likely need some off season reconstructive ankle surgery. It annoys me to see people hating on dwill and calling for trading our fake superstar for players like Kemba, pshh.. D will is on this team for the forseeable future, stop pestering management to even consider such hanus thoughts. 2. PJ will not be our coach next season, but he will finish this season. I don't think im losing anyone there, we have no permanent coach right now. 3. I know you hate to hear it but the following statements are true. Dwight still perfers Brooklyn and Billy King still sees Dwight as a better piece for a contending franchise than Lopez; considering Dwights current hurt back and shoulder the only question is does Billy King think he will be 100% physically and mentally by the start of next year. Trade RUMORS have been circling around Hump, Brooks, Jsmoove, Gordon, Millsap etc. Hawks claim they want a young center to move Al to the 4. Lopez is 24, Dwight is a free agent this summer, and Jsmoove and Dwight and long time friends. SO I ask you ND fans, what are your thoughts and is it possible... IS IT POSSIBLE TO TRADE LOPEZ FOR SMOOVE AND CLEAR ENOUGH CAP SPACE TO GET DWIGHT TO BE ABLE TO SIGN HERE AS A FREE AGENT THIS SUMMER? WHO ELSE WOULD NEED TO GO? Lopex for Smith and Hump for Turkaglu (with his buyout this offseason) to clear enough space for D12?? would that work?
