DERON WILLIAMS! This is the honest truth. He may be hurt, he may not be the guy he was in Utah but this organization entrusted him with a max contract to be the leader of this team. He has done a disgraceful job. How can an all-star like Dwill allow us to blow double digit leads like this? How can he just give the ball up to JJ, walk over to the three point line, then watch JJ play Iso-joe while he just stands there doing nothing!!! And when Joe gets doubled and Dwill gets the ball for an open shot, he instead passes it to gerald wallace who cant do one thing productive with the ball in his hands.
I am so frustrated with this team. Deron has no heart, no passion, no care, no sense of urgency. He has held this team hostage when we were waiting to re-sign him and now he is leading the Nets to a slow painful death. After being destroyed by Tony Parker tonight, I hooooppppeeeeee this is a wake-up call. When the Spurs were down, the ball was in Tony Parker's hands. When we fell down, Deront couldn't wait to get the ball out of his hands. This is not the sign of a leader, of the man who we thought would lead this team to the Eastern Conference Championshi[. I am just so outraged after watching this game.
I have watched every game this season and I like everyone, I have ridden the rollercoaster from the high points to the low points. But the truth is, we are not that good. With Dwill as our "leader" I do not believe we can be successful as a team. I pray to moiso that there is a lightbulb that goes off in Deron's head when he realizes "this is my team", "I am the face of the franchise and I cannot sit back and let these loses pile up", "I have to do something about this". Until then, we are nothing more than an average basketball team that has talent but lacks true leadership.
